Recent Updates:

  • June 3, 2024: Launch of NamesLook 4.0. This major update includes bug fixes, content and performance improvements, new YouTube videos and news listings for famous individuals, advanced SEO optimizations, expanded audio pronunciations, enhanced name meaning and popularity data, updated US SSA popularity database for 2023, and added nickname listings for available names.
  • May 17, 2024: We are pleased to announce the launch of our Chinese (zh.nameslook.com), Russian (ru.nameslook.com), and Dutch (nl.nameslook.com) language versions.
  • May 16, 2024: Our Arabic language version (ar.nameslook.com) has been launched.
  • May 15, 2024: The Italian language version (it.nameslook.com) of our site is now available.
  • May 14, 2024: We have launched the German language version (de.nameslook.com) of our site.
  • April 14, 2024: In celebration of Tamil New Year, we are excited to launch our Tamil language version (ta.nameslook.com).
  • April 10, 2024: The Portuguese language version (pt.nameslook.com) has been launched.
  • April 1, 2024: We are delighted to announce the launch of both the Spanish (es.nameslook.com) and French (fr.nameslook.com) language versions of our site.

Historical Versions:

While NamesLook has undergone numerous updates and improvements prior to version 3.0, detailed historical records for these earlier versions are unfortunately unavailable. We are committed to maintaining comprehensive documentation moving forward and are excited to present the current version history below:

  • Sep 5, 2023 (v2.1): Temporary removal of user contributions for security improvements.
  • May 4, 2023 (v2.0): Complete UI revamp, migration from Bootstrap to W3.CSS, URL structure changes, and performance improvements.
  • Feb 14, 2020: Enabled user contributions for pronunciation recording.
  • June 3, 2017: Enabled user contributions in general.
  • Dec 4, 2016: Rebranded from NiceNames to NamesLook.
  • Sep 5, 2016: Launched as NiceNames.
